A 20,000 sq ft sacred marvel carved into a Monolithic Hill • Kavalaganahalli, Chintamani, Karnataka

Welcome to the Sacred Caves

A Temple Unlike
Any Other

Nestled in the ancient Ambajidurga Hill Range, Shri Kailasagiri Guhantara Devalaya stands as the largest man-made interconnected cave temple complex created in the last millennium — a living testament to devotion, artistry, and the eternal spirit of Shaivism.

Spanning over 20,000 square feet, this sacred complex features multiple interconnected caves housing magnificent deities including Chaturmukha Lingeshwara Swamy, Vallabha Ganapathi, Goddess Jagadambe, and seven more divine presences — all sculpted in the authentic Chola-Pallava tradition by the legendary Late Sri S.M. Ganapathi Stapathi.

Founded in 1994 by Sri Chowda Reddy under the Sri Gangadhareshwara Seva Trust, this temple has served as a beacon of spirituality, offering free meals (Anna Danam) to all visitors since 2001 — feeding over 400 devotees daily.
